About Us
This collective is run by delusiana and eleanorrigby236 with the help of our friends and contributors. When we first started to get into film seriously, we were confused by the large amount of film types available in the market. As we started shooting more on different cameras we also saw how different one camera would shoot a same type of film from another. We both love experimenting and trying new things out, so we thought we’d share all our results here in hopes that it will help other film enthusiasts and beginners out there.
That, was how CoolGirlsShootFilm came about!

ABOUT DELUSIANA

Favorite camera to shoot on
I don’t own as many cams as eleanorrigby236 but I’m definitely loving my dad’s old Rikoh KR-10 & Pentax ME as I could use the sweet Zenitar 16mm fisheye lens on them both! As for toycams, I love my Superheadz Ultra Wide & Slim and the LOMO LC-A!
Favorite film
Anything that gives me a bold blue/teal hue, but not too much greens/yellows, they make my head hurt. Heh.
ie: Agfa CT Precisa, Kodak Ektachrome
Redscale film: Lomography Redscale Negative 100ISO & Cross-processed Velvia 50. (I’ve yet to develop my Velvias in E-6!)
B&W: Kodak BW400CN, Kodak Tri-X 400
Favorite time of the day to shoot
When I have the sun in my eye!
Favorite thing to shoot
I have yet to dabble in people photography but so far I love dead trees.
Why I shoot film?
Because it’s damn hard to get the same result for every bloody shot! Also, I pride myself at being sufficiently good at photomanipulations & Photoshop so digital seems kinda drab to me now.
Current favorite film photo(s)?
There’s just too many to list. Check my flickr out and you can see my favorites there :D

ABOUT ELEANORRIGBY236

Favorite camera to shoot on
I can’t choose because they all great and bad in different ways but I love my Nikon SLRs as they rarely fail me. I hope to get another medium format camera soon!
Favorite film
I prefer natural tones to overly saturated colors so I prefer color negatives to slide film.
Color: Fujichrome Sensia III & Fujicolor Pro
B&W: Fujifilm Neopan Acros & Kodak TMax
Favorite time of the day to shoot
When it’s not too hot outside!
Favorite thing to shoot
Unsuspecting people because capturing emotion on film is absolutely beautiful.
Why I shoot film?
Because I don’t expect perfection out of my results as I do when I shoot on a digital camera. I also love the anticipation of having to wait to see what I get, even if sometimes I fail.
