Hello! I’m kinda new to films. I’m the only guy in this collective and using semi-auto SLR for my shots. These few shots from my 1st courting with LOMO Redscale XR 50-200. Thanx to delusiana & eleanorrigby236 for letting me in. :) -minaharker80- Canon EOS Rebel 2000, 28-80mm f 3.5-5 EF Lens

The sky was overexposed because of one thing: I shot this at an aperture of 2.8 without realizing until it was too late. Dammit. Lesson learned: buy a light meter. -delusiana Ricoh KR-10, Zenitar 16mm Fisheye Pentax K Bayonet Mount Lens

Yay, another series of “firsts” for the day. Here we’ve got prints from the super cute Superheadz Ultra Wide & Slim. But they sure weren’t joking when they wrote on the box that you should only shoot in bright sunlight, heh. And for a tiny plastic thing, it sure is wide! As for the film, well, they weren’t kidding when they say that this is one of the best slide...

red47 asked: yea i was talking about the XR, i guess you just need really great lighting to get less grain. i shot my roll about sunset and golden hour which really isnt great for low iso. do you accept submissions? i shoot tons of film and have every type of lomo film i think. not to mention some other cool ones. shooting some chrome slide by the end of the month. that should be fun.

red47 asked: Hey, love the blog btw, amazing stuff. just wondering who and how many run this blog. also, redscale does get really really grainy, though im hoping my next roll will turn out better as i shot it at 50 iso in bright sunlight. did you develop the film at the iso you shot it? cause where i went they said they couldnt pull the film only push and since i shot at 200 they had to develop at 400 anyways...

More shots with this amazing film. Cheap too! In case you’re wondering why I kept shooting at dusk or low lights, well, let’s face it…I can’t bloody well get myself up in the wee mornings, especially not on weekends! Haha, and yes, it’s monsoon season now in Malaysia, so it isn’t always sunny. Bleh. -delusiana Ricoh KR-10, Zenitar 16mm Fisheye Pentax K Bayonet...

I discovered something amazing today with the Zenitar lens: it has the ability to convert flares into something equivalent to a Hoya Star Six filter!! Isn’t it sweet?? I was previously fretting on how filters won’t fit on the lens but, there you go! I bought mine for USD179 on eBay, a bargain!! This Russian lens continues to astound me, and according to several photography review...

Lomography Redscale XR 50-200ISO
Again, these were mainly taken at or just before dusk. I realized that using a higher ISO or with really good lighting, your picture will turn out sharp and yellow-reddish-orangey. A lower ISO/not enough lighting/underestimating the importance of light metering + too big an aperture can cause your pic to be super grainy. But I don’t mind the bluish-green tinge, I think they’re...

Kodak Ektar 100ISO
I know this is supposed to be “World’s Finest Grain” but I’m not exactly happy with my photos. Then again, I think during this series, I was still unsure about light metering thus I kept shooting at the largest aperture and thanks to that, my pics appeared overexposed. I had also been shooting at dusk, that I guess contributed to the bluish-green tinge to the pics. Well,...

Okay, so I’m turning senile. These are my very first batch of photos taken with the Diana F+, not the ones using the Redscale XR. As you can see, I have absolutely no idea on how to focus or judge the distance from the object you’re supposed to shoot. But, I still think that this is a wonderful film and that last shot of my cat there, well I think I accidentally opened the camera back...

I love the Zenitar 16mm Fisheye Lens! These were taken with my dad’s old Ricoh KR-10, cross-processed. The sky shots were overexposed but I love the results nevertheless! These were my first batch of photos taken with the KR-10 so I’m still trying to figure out how to actually use it.  -delusiana Ricoh KR-10, Zenitar 16mm Fisheye f2.8 Pentax K Bayonet Mount Lens

This was from my first attempt on a Diana, or any plastic camera for that matter. I quite like the effect; the colors ranging from reddish-orange to a bluish/greenish hue depending on the available light. The last shot was taken in a moving car at nighttime. Not too bad I suppose! -delusiana Diana F+, 75mm Lens, Flash

Fujifilm Acros Neopan 100
This film is awesome! All taken with the Diana F+ with the 16x16 film mask. Multiple exposures are fun but if you’re not careful, you may end up overexposing the film. The Splitzer is a handy tool to test this technique. But you can always go D.I.Y and create your own splitzer. And again, Diana is extremely prone to shakes so unless you have super steady hands, a tripod is your best...

Cheap in no way means bad! I got this roll of film for less than US$4 and was pretty impressed by the outcome. I used my ultra cute plastic point-and-shoot juicebox camera this time. If there’s anything that I would comment about the Diana F+, I’d say that this plastic camera is not very easy to use. I’ve had my share of frustrations, wasted films and blurry, under/overexposed shots. But I’m not giving up just yet! So here’s what I’d like to share from my meager experience with the Diana: 1. Always use a tripod. Or at least rest your camera...
